Mozambican National Energy Fund Launches Tender for Rural Electrification

Maputo, Mozambique, 4 Dec – The Mozambican National Energy Fund (Funae) has launched an international tender for the electrification of some facilities at the administrative post of Chilembene, in Gaza province, the Mozambican press reported.
Under the terms of the announcement published by Funae, an arm of the Energy Ministry, the plan is to provide electricity to some facilities by setting up a solar-powered system as well as setting up a water pumping and heating system.

The facilities due to benefit from solar power were not specified in the announcement.
