Using the sun's abundant power could be the solution for people who cannot afford escalating electricity costs. Channelled through simple, curved dishes its' rays can cook food and boil water.
Due to my love of solar cooking, I have recently obtained the distribution rights for SunCook solar ovens in South Africa (http://ecofootprintsa.blogspot.com/p/suncook-solar-ovens.html)
I have to say I couldn't live without my solar oven - yesterday it made our dinner of roast chicken and baked potatoes and gem squash, and today it is sun drying my excess tomatoes from my veggie patch.
